Tourism Security

The Directorate of Tourism Security of Polda Bali (Bali Police Department )was founded according to the Decree of Chief in Command of the Police Department No.Pol:Skep/147/I/2003 regarding organizational validation of the Police Department.The purpose is to ensure security and comfort to both international and Indonesia visitors to Bali.

The Directorate,which is known as Dit Pam Wisata is supported by 50 officers plus 200 officers from Police Resort all over Bali.This number is obtained from on going staff development programs undertaken by Polda Bali.

the main duty of the newly established Directorate is to guarrantee secure and comfortable condition in tourist ares as well as to carry out regular police duties including taking necessary first security measures on the scene and following it up with relevant regional police department for further action.

In performing their duties ,each officer is bound to undertake security measures as follows.

To maintain security of tourist places
To monitor and if necessary ,protect tourist in resort and hotel areas and hotels.
To inspect document of suspicious visitor.
To take reports and statements from visitors.
To provide assistance to visitors.
To provide special protection duties for visitors.
To patrol around resort and hotel areas
