THE TEMPLE OF JAGATNATHA
Jagatnatha Temple is located at the east of Taman Puputan Square at Major Wisnu Street. It is a Hindhu Temple closed to the Museum Bali which is a part with a City Tour attractions. The High structure of the Padmasana is the unique shrine of the temple. Like other big Temples, Jagatnatha is very busy on big religious day, such as Galungan, Kuningan, Saraswati. The Regular religious ceremonies are conducted in the new and full moons, and shadow puppet shows are normaly performed. This place is accessible within 20 minutes from Sanur.
THE TEMPLE OF MAOSPAHIT
The Temple of Maospahit is an old Temple which is located at the Dr. Sutomo street, about 950 meters from the Catur Muka Statue. The main market of Pasar Badung is close to the site. Many visitors pay visits to this old temple because it is also an archaelogical site. There is Terracotta statue considered to be archaelogically old, and taken as the artifact of the Kingdom of Majapahit in the east Java.
THE TEMPLE OF PETILAN PANGEREBONGAN
This temple is widely known for its Ngerebong, a religious ceremony involving a targe number of barongs and rangdas. These mythologicalbeings together with a large number of people became in trance and they encircle the wantilan hall three times in a long procession. The ceremony is organized once In 210 days, a traditional year in the Balinese calender. THE TEMPLE OF SAKENAN
The temple of Sakenan was established on a small island of Serangan in the southern part of Denpasar by a pious priest Danghyang Dwijendra. Access to the place is done by boat to cross a narrow strait full of mangrove trees, and it take about 20 minutes. Or, it can be done by cars by making use of the new access road leading to the front area ofthe temple.
THE PALACE OF PEMECUTAN
The Palace islocated atTnamrin st, about 200 meters towards the west of Taman Puputan and becomes one of the palace attractions. It is also adjacent to the main traditional market of Pasar Badung/ Kumbasari. The Palace has a unique Balinese traditional architecture which was constructed in the 16th century. The current head of the Pun orPalaceis Ida Cokorda Pamecutan.
THE PALACE- OF SATRIA
The palace of Satria, located about 300 meters towards the north of the Taman Puputan Square al Veteran Street, is one of the pa lace attractions of the City Tour Programs. The Large and Beautiful royal family temple is used not only by the members of the royal families but also by members of community in the neighbourhood. A bird market is very interesting to visit in this area. Traditional performances and dinner party is available as well (on request).
THE PALACE OF JERO KUTA
The Palace of Jro Kuta is planned to be a destination of the City Tour. It is about 300 meter from the main traditional market of Pasar Badung/ Kumbasar.This place has a unique complex buildings, namely Ancaksaji, Semanggen, Ranggi, Pewaregan, Saren Raja, Saren Kangin, Paseban, Pemerajan Agung and Pekandelan which is a kind of fortress to protect the main part of the area.
PURI KESIMAN
Puri Kesiman is located closed to Pengerebongan Temple on WR. Supratman Street, east of Denpasar. The temple of Pengerebongan is very famous for its event of trance experienced.This event is carried out periodically during a ritual seventh day after the Galungan holiday.
TRADITIONAL ART MARKET IN BALI
THE BADUNG MARKET
The Badung market is the biggest traditional market in Denpasar, located at Gajah Mada Street. This market receives a lot of visits from domestic and foreign visitors, and therefore has been included as an object of attraction in the City Tour programs. Daily household needs and handicrafts are available here. It is open daily, from very early in the morning until late.
THE KUMBASARI MARKET
The Kumbasari Market is located opposite of The Badung Market. They are separated by the River Badung which runs from the north to the south. This market offers more handicrafts commodities than Badung Mrket does. Textiles and traditional fabric are also available here. Domestics and foreign tourists make visits to this market place as it has become an object of attraction in the .City Tour programs.
THE SANGLAH MARKET
ISanglah Market is located about 2.5 km from the City Centre towards the south. It is accessible by public means of transportation. Like other traditional markets in Denpasar, this market offers commodities for the daily needs. Although it is open the whole day, the busy activities are only in the morning. In the vicinity is the Sanglah General Hospital.
THE KRENENG MARKET
The Kreneng Market is located about 3 km from the city centre herethe mini bus known as “bemo” terminal found. In this market place daily commodities are said at reasonable prices during the day time. At the night this market becomes a night bazaar where different kinds at the reasonable prices are also available. The Kreneng Market is at Kamboja street and is accessible by public and private means at transport.
THE BIRD MARKET IN DENPASAR
There are two main bird markets in Denpasar; Pasar Burung Satria and Pasar Burung Sanglah. Pasar Burung Satria (near the Pasar Satria traditional market) is located in the city centre, in Jaian Veteran, approximately 300 meters north of the CaturMuka (four faced) statue-Pasar Burung Sanglah is about 200 meters easts of Denpasar’s central hospital (RSUP Sangiah). This bird market shares its location withPasar Sanglah, which isone of Denpasar’s traditional markets.
PATUNG CATUR MUKA (FOUR STATUE)
The statue that stands on the cross roads in front of the Mayor’s office inDenpasar.It is called Catur Muka (Four Faces) because it has four heads facing out to the four quarters of the compass and installed in 1973.The statue was created by a team of craftsmen led by the locally renowned artist I Gusti Nyoman Lempad from the village of Mas.The 9 meter high statue is a representation of God Brahma (God Brahma, as the Creator of universe) with four faces andhas itsoriginal story canbe found Mahabharata epic.
TAMAN PUPUTAN BADUNG SQUARE
The name Taman Puputan Badung is a dedication to the memory of the war on 20th September 1906 in which the Balinese King Badung/Denpasar and this people fought bravely against the Dutch who invaded the land. That date is always commemorated every year, and a monument called Taman Puputan Monument has been erected for the important event. This monument stands at the northernpart of the Puputan Square. This Square is visited by many local people every afternoon for recreation;and every Sunday there are activities particularly organized for children.

This Building was established on14 February 1973 and it has function to arrange
the art and cultural attraction which supported with open stagesand main buildings for for: dancing, painting exhibition, seminar, music as specially big event of Bali Art Festival is held on middle of June to July every year. It is located at Nusa Indah Street Denpasar.
INDONESIA ARTS INSTITUTE / ISI
This college, located at the northern boundary of The Bali Art Centre, was established in 1967.The college specializes itself in dancing, traditional music, traditional puppetry design, and fine arts. Here the younger generations are trained tobecomeexpert in arts. Its role is significant in the organization of theannual Bali ArtsFestival, and all some activities are centred in this area.
BAJRASANDHI MONUMENT
This Monument is a Balinese people struggle monument. The building is in the form of Genta/Bajra (the Hindu’s priest bell). Located at south side of Puputan Margarana civic centre Niti Mandala, Renon near the representative house of Ball and Governor office.
BALI MUSEUM
This Museum of .Ethnography is located on the street of Major Wisnu. It was established an 8th December 1932 and keeps a large collection of old items inits 4 buildings :The East Building.,The Buleleng.Karangasem and Tabanan Buildings. Each of them exhibits unique collection, such as the East Building exhibits pre-historical and historical items (including Balinese ancient tools) The Buleleng Building symbolize by the statue of Singa Ambara exhibits traditional Balinese fabric and costumes for religious purposes, where as The Karangasem Building has items for religious rituals and ceremonies for the Panca Yadnya. And finally, The Tabanan Building pride itself with traditional Balinese work of arts.
SIDIKJARI MUSEUM
Sidik Jari Museum is a private fine art museum established and owned by I Gusti Ngurah Cede Pemecutan. It keeps the work of its owner, and it also keeps work of other artists. The uniqueness of the work here is that the paintings are done through the use of the tips of the fingers in applying different colors or paints in order to represent the artist’s imagination.
THE MUSEUM OF LE MAYEUR
The fine arts museum established by a Begium artist, AJ. Le Mayeur. It is about 200 Metre to the north of The Grand Bali Beach Hotel, The main attraction of the museumis painting of NI Polok, a local Balinese woman the wife of the artist himself. Ni Polok herself used to be a famous traditional Balinese dancers from neighborhood village of Kelandis in Denpasar.
SANUR TOURISM RESORT
It is located 6 km from Denpasar city and only 20 minutes from Denpasar. It can reached by public transportation or motorbike. Sanur beach was the first beach landed by the Dutch on 20 September 1906 related with Puputan war. BENOA HARBOUR

THE PREHISTORIC INSCRIPTION OF BLANJONG
The prehistoric inscription of Blanjong is in the form of a pillar with the height of located in the Sanur area is Mertasari. BANGLI :47 kilometers from Denpasar, the temple of “KEHEN” is available here, which according to the Balinese belief, it is holiest temple and near by visitor can find the center of coconut shells carvers with extremely fine handicraft products, which are good for souvenir. From Bangli visitors can continuo their trip to Kintamani.
KERTHAGOSA : These pavilions, built on 18th century, are located 40 kilometers norteast of Denpasar. Aspecially know for their ceiling murals, painted in the traditional wayang style.
GOA LAWAH : (The cave of bat). 57 kilometers from Denpasarat the park of this cave found a temple by name of “PUNCAK SARI”. In the cave there are so many bats, which makes it more interesting.
TIRTAGANGGA : Lies 6 kilometers from Karangasem a resting place for the former king and before the eruption of mount Agung in 1963, it looked very beautiful.

TRUNYAN : Approximately 8 kilometers down Penelokan. This village is famous due to its peculiar deferent custom, from other part of Bali. The dead body is not buried but its only line on the ground under the shady incense tree. It is absorb by the fragrant smell of this incense tree.
GOA GAJAH : 26 kilometers from Denpasar, a cave for merely used as a place for meditation of Hindu Dharma followers. Inside this cave there are stones of Brahma, Ciwa and Wisnu in asceticism.
NUTMEG FOREST & SANGEH TEMPLE : A temple located in the middle of nutmeg forest densely habited by cute monkeys and contented by the tourist.
